Prior to creating a production API key you'll need to have integrated with the API test bed, then once we've validated your integration, we'll send you an email invite to generate a production API key.
If you're integrating directly, we'll need to validate your integration, otherwise you'll need to register for access to the API via an eCommerce Partner.
Once you've met the prerequisites, You will be sent an email invitation. Before creating your API key, you will need to accept the invitation.
Then Simply follow these steps to create a production API key.
Make sure you accept your invitation and log in to the developer centre. If you've registered and haven't received your invitation email, please contact us and we'll resend you the invite.
Once you're logged in, select the Projects tab.
Select Create API Key. Give your project a name (note: you can only use alpha numeric characters) and choose your organisation from the drop down list.
Give your key a name (note: you can only use alpha numeric characters) and create a secret. This is used as your API password.
Once you've created your key, you may select Services from the left-hand menu to modify which services are available with the API key.
You can now use that key to access the production API.
Please note: For Australia Post accounts please ensure that your account number is 10 digits long, padding with leading zeroes if necessary. E.g. use 0001234567 for account 1234567
For StarTrack accounts, your account number must be 8 digits long, without leading zeroes.
